Community of Circles
At World Marketing Summit 2012 convened by renowned professor Dr. Philip Kotler and supported by the government of Bangladesh, Bangladesh students were inspired by the ideas of being the next 1% who will shape the future of Asia. This 1% refers to a new generation of business leaders and professionals who would like to apply new ideas to transform their business environment. To truly shape the world, Asian business leaders need a new business culture, one where unity and purpose is lived and practiced so as to encourage innovation and collaboration.
With this inspiration, Bangladesh friends decided to start Shape the World Circle, previously known as ConsulusCIRCLE. This monthly gathering of business leaders, professionals and individuals from diverse backgrounds have one thing in common: They believe in building better organisations which are purpose-drive and great at collaboration. Every month, a theme is proposed to inspire participants with ideas that can be applied in their own organisations. Participants learn from each others’ personal and meaningful experiences. Through the sharing of diverse experiences, it becomes possible to nurture organisational cultures that can shape the future of Asia.
Since then, Shape the World Circles have been organised in Bangladesh, Vietnam and Singapore. Our valued participants have expressed their thanks to Shape the World Circle and its meaningful themes and sharing that have helped them in their personal lives as well as in their own organisations. To multiply the effect of the Shape the World Circles, we have created a starter kit. This kit is designed to guide the setting up of a Circle within your own community, such as companies, departments, classes or even within group of peers. From meaning of the Shape the World Circle, Shape the World Circle rituals to planning and promoting your Shape the World Circle sessions, this kit will help you to set up Shape the World Circle within your own community that can shape the future of Asia.
